This week's politics disad focuses on the economic stimulus package. Since big changes in the deal happened on Thursday that killed an earlier version of the DA based on which version of the stimulus would pass the DA was held back till today.

Basically all the major portions of the stimulus have been agreed upon, only minor details are still open for discussion. This disad argues that the plan breaks this fragile compromise by being controversial and introducing new spending after both sides agreed to refrain.

Linear vs. Terminal Impacts

After spending a fair amount of time perusing caselists this season, I've noticed a trend of (what I'd describe as) teams reading the wrong advantages for their affs.

The root of this is the inability to differentiate between Linear and Terminal impacts, and choosing which are most appropriate for their particular solvency model.

Lots of new files, big news

We're putting up a bunch of files this week, with a free politics file coming later in the day.

Evtub will be offering a free politics file for this weekends Glenbrooks tournament. It will be 300+ pages and include new never before read disads and 2AC blocks to disads recently published by other sites. It will be available by Friday morning after other sites have posted their disads and we have cut you a 2AC.
